We, the Aspinwall Democratic Committee, serve our community as elected representatives volunteering for the Democratic Party in our borough. As a Committee, our role includes voting in the Allegheny County democratic endorsement, volunteering our time to canvass, phone bank, and poll watch, and – most importantly – working to elect qualified Democrats with the values and temperament that reflect those of our Party and our local committee.
It’s critical that our Aspinwall Democratic Party voters can be confident that our candidates have a proven track record of demonstrating the values of the Democratic Party. These values include supporting Democrats, pursuing a party platform that includes racial justice, protection of women and reproductive rights, voting rights, efforts to strengthen our democracy, and much more. It’s also critical to our committee that our Democratic candidates demonstrate the sound judgment, mutual respect, and good temperament that are needed to successfully hold office and lead civil debate.
We believe our three candidates who won the Democratic Primary for Aspinwall Council are qualified based on the aforementioned values.
These candidates include, in alphabetical order,
Mark Chimel, Patti McCaffrey, and Heth Turnquist.
